Is it Socially Acceptable to Talk Publicly About Psychedelics? There is Psychedelic Event in Switzerland where you can do it.

The short answer is yes, but with some important caveats. First and foremost, avoid doing so in police states or countries where discussing such topics can lead to severe consequences (e.g., Belarus or North Korea). However, if you live outside these regions, you should be fine.

Discussing a stigmatized topic like psychedelics is not illegal—unless you start giving advice on using these substances, which could be seen as promoting something that’s illegal in most parts of the world. Remember, stigma doesn’t equal prohibition. For instance, menstruation is stigmatized in many societies, but talking about it openly won’t land you in jail.

It’s 2024, and we live in an age where a wealth of information is readily available online, and offline events dedicated to psychedelics are happening worldwide. To be clear, I’m not referring to fan clubs, but rather conferences where like-minded individuals can finally discuss mind-altering substances openly.

There’s even an EU citizens’ initiative, PsychedeliCare Initiative, created by ordinary people who recognize the healing potential of psychedelics. Their goal is to gather 1,000,000 signatures to present the project to the European Parliament. You can legally join this initiative without breaking any laws.

Speaking of offline events, especially in Europe, there are not only conferences but other gatherings as well. One such Psychedelic Event in Switzerland on August 31st organized by Roger Liggenstorfer and others. This unique gathering will bring together scientists, psychedelic enthusiasts, researchers, and regular folks curious to learn more about these therapeutic substances.

If you’re in Switzerland, don’t miss this opportunity. The organizers have done a fantastic job securing talks from renowned figures like Rick Doblin from Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), Rick Strassman MD, Stanislav Grof, and others. Check it out!
